Stephen D. Clutter has been named chief of communications for The Bureau of Land Management Nevada State Office.

Clutter recently retired as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as director of public affairs for U.S. Air Force Central Command overseas. He also had assignments as commander of the Air Force News Agency and director of the Air Force Hollywood Liaison Office. He also worked as a newspaper reporter for the Seattle Times, specializing in government and politics.

Clutter earned a masters degree in international relations from Troy University, a master’s in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a bachelor’s in communications from the University of Washington.
