Treg Gardner has been hired as program chair of online education, information technology/computer science for Prospect Education, LLC, a Reno-based provider of educational services through Charter College campuses in Washington, California and Alaska.
Gardner has more than 10 years of faculty leadership, curriculum development and teaching experience, as well as more than 20 years experience in IT management. He most recently was information technology specialist for the University of Nevada School of Medicine, while also serving as an adjunct professor at Morrison College. He has also served as a full-time faculty member for the University of Phoenix.
Gardner received the 2014 Distinguished Faculty Award from Morrison University, the 2011 Distinguished Faculty of the Year from Anthem Education Group, the 2011 Faculty of the Year from Morrison University, and the 2009 Faculty of the Year from the University of Phoenix.
He earned his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in computer information systems from the University of Phoenix, and he will earn his doctorate in education in 2015. He also earned degrees in electronics/engineering from Salt Lake Community College and in computer science from North Harris Community College.
