The people who have lived in Carson City more than a few years can remember when vehicle traffic flow meant efficient movement from one part of town to another. One example is the Roop Street-Silver Sage connection.
I am concerned with some current civil leaders that express ideas that vehicle traffic needs to be slow and meandering. Brad Bonkowski has stated that vehicle traffic needs to be calmed and has suggested roundabouts on East William Street.
In recent years, developments have created islands that create inefficient vehicle traffic patterns. In several places, you can see the street you want to get to but have to drive a long way to get there.
If you like a slow, meandering traffic system, vote for some of the current Supervisors that are responsible for the past decisions. It seems like we have millions for traffic calming on Carson Street but now what to raise taxes to fix existing roads. If you would like to see some sensible vehicle traffic management decisions, vote for someone else.
