Cheraz Ecker, general manager at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, received Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association’s top honor – Hotelier of the Year – during the annual Stars of the Industry Gala held on Oct. 20 at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas.
The Hotelier of the Year is the highest level and honor awarded during the gala. The award recognized Ecker as a Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association member executive who makes extraordinary contributions to the industry, the state of Nevada, and the association. Ecker was also recognized for her demonstrated professionalism to Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, its employees, guests, suppliers and to the northern Nevada community.
Ecker began her hospitality career in 1989 in Las Vegas, working in several operational positions with Mirage Resorts/Golden Nugget. In 1999, Ms. Ecker joined Las Vegas Sands, and spent 12 years with the organization in various director roles before accepting a position within the company to open Marina Bay Sands – Singapore. After moving back stateside to work for Gaylord Hotels, she joined Loews Hotel in Washington D.C. before joining Monarch Casino & Resort, Inc. in 2015 as the general manager for Atlantis.
