Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Sept. 1. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Avanti Markets Nevada at Harley Davidson, 3850 Arrowhead Drive, scored 100 points.

Courtyard by Marriott, bar and lounge, 3870 S. Carson St., 100 points.

Holiday Inn Express, 4055 N. Carson St., 100 points.

National’s Cafe, 1701 N. Carson St., 100 points.

Papa John’s, 1426 E. William St., Suite 3, 100 points.

The Spoke Bar and Grill, bar and lounge, 3198 N. Deer Run Road, 100 points.

San Marcos Grill, 260 E. Winnie Lane, 98 points. Food items were not properly labeled. Non-food contact surfaces needed to cleaned. Piping in the ceiling of the walk-in cooler needed to be cleaned and sanitized.

Keva Juice, 2320 S. Carson St., Suite 2, 97 points. There was no certified food handler on duty.

The Spoke Bar and Grill, restaurant, 3198 N. Deer Run Road, 97 points. Frozen beef was being improperly thawed. Fans in the cooler and other non-food contact surfaces needed to be cleaned.

Playa Azul, 415 E. William St., 95 points. Food items weren’t properly labeled. Thermometers weren’t on hand to check cooking temperatures. Non-food contact surfaces were not clean. Hoods above the stove needed to be de-greased and sanitized. Floors were not well maintained, and grout needed to be resealed. Lights were missing from the kitchen area.

Arby’s, 1122 S. Carson St., 94 points. Food in both reach-in coolers were found between 42 and 45 degrees, instead of at the required 41 degrees or below. Food contact surfaces needed to be repaired. The fryer and soda machine were leaking. Floors and other non-food contact surfaces needed to be cleaned. A buildup of food debris and grease was found beneath equipment.

Taqueria Fuentes, 3391 E. Highway 50, 93 points. Food was not labeled as required. Food in the reach-in was found between 42 and 45 degrees, instead of at the required 41 degrees or below. Cloths used on food contact surfaces weren’t clean and were missing sanitizer residual. Sanitizer buckets were not properly set up. The three-basin sink was not set up. The stainless steel table needed to be repaired; dents and cuts from knives were found on the surface. Stoves and kitchen equipment needed to be cleaned. Non-food contact surfaces and equipment needed to be cleaned.

Subway, 100 W. Winnie Lane, 91 points. Entrances to the building weren’t kept in good repair. The back door entrance needed to be resealed. Ants were found inside the soda machine. The soda machine needed to be maintenanced due to drainage issues and ice machine problems. Sanitizer test strips were not available at the three-basin sink. The plumbing was not properly sized, installed or maintained. The three-basin sink needed to be fixed. The soda machine was not draining properly. A certified food handler was not on site.

Courtyard by Marriott, restaurant, 3870 S. Carson St., 88 points. The high temperature dishwasher wasn’t reaching a final rinse temperature of 180 degrees. There were boxed items stored directly on the floor in the walk-in freezer. The soda dispenser on the kitchen employee hand wash sink wasn’t dispensing liquid soap. There was no certified food handler on duty.
