On Tuesday, Northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe area McDonald’s will be offering free breakfast to kindergarten through eighth grade students from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Students can receive an Egg McMuffin, apple slices and 1 percent low fat milk for free.
“Research continues to show that breakfast is important not only for children’s health, but for academic achievement, cognitive development and mental health,” said Alice Fagundes, MS, RDN, FAND, CDE and California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation Chair.
All students must be accompanied by an adult when visiting a participating restaurant.
“McDonald’s is proud to offer a wide array of balanced breakfast options for the entire family,” said Gino Potesta, vice president and general manager of McDonald’s Pacific Sierra Region in Northern California and Northern Nevada. “We are once again excited to help families in our communities make their mornings special and start their school days with a healthy meal.”
