Editor Carson Appeal: The concert given here last Saturday evening in aid of the Odd Fellows Library Fund was a great success, and everybody would have been pleased if its harmony had not been marred and interrupted by a set of rowdy boys, who appeared to outdo each other in yelling, shouting and obscene remarks, reflecting seriously upon their parents, to the disgrace our town. As the press is considered in every community to be the leader in good morals, I trust, Mr. Editor, that you will rebuke and condemn in the severest of terms the outrageous occurrences of last evening. Monitor.

Freeze out: The recent development now being made in the little freeze-out game now being played by four newspapers in this city is creating considerable amusement all over the town. For a good may years past it has been a matter of wonderment all over the state how so many papers could live in Carson.
