Dance a Big Success — The dance in the Soda Lake District, given under the direction of Miss Helen Bowler for the benefit of the Churchill County Red Cross Society, was an unqualified success. Not only was there a large crowd in attendance but it was a well satisfied crowd for the entertainment was fully up to the expatiations,

Club Camp — The Eagle is glad to note that the annual 4-H Club Camp at Lake Tahoe will be held this year as usual, in spite of war conditions, which has made it seem advisable to curtail many regular activities. The work done by the extension service with the rural boys and girls of this state is highly important, justifying all of the expense and effort that goes into it.

As in Rubber — This State Leads Scrap Metals Campaign. Figures compiled by the state salvage office in Carson City showed that Nevada had shipped to war industries some 12,500 tons of scrap iron and steel during the first six months of 1942.

Marriage Trend in County Shows Decrease During Year — June was not necessarily the month for brides in Churchill County this year nor was July. In fact, the marriage trend for 1967 was down from last year. No particular trend was noted in marriage ages, although 1966 ages ranged from 16 to 80 while 1967 ages ranged from 16 to 69.

Contributions Still Coming In — Seventy-seven pledges to the cemetery project have been received thus far. Only five new contributors were noted this week. Only five new contributors were noted in the past week, after the larger number of 16 contributions were received week before last. Are you willing to buy one yard of road pavement for the cemetery? Two dollars and 50 cents will buy one yard. The project is to pave the main access road to the Fallon Cemetery.
