Local businesses and individuals that have shown outstanding support and engagement with the local arts and culture community will be honored Sept. 14 by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, cities of Reno and Sparks, and the Sierra Arts Foundation.
During the Arts & Business Luncheon & Awards event the important role a thriving arts and culture community plays in the region's successful economic development efforts of attracting and retaining quality companies as well as a qualified workforce will be highlighted.
Jay H. Dick, senior director of State & Local Government Affairs and Americans for the Arts, is the keynote speaker.
Check-in for the awards luncheon is 11:30 a.m. Sept. 14 at Eldorado Resort Casino's Convention Center, with the lunch and program from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Cost is $25 per person and advance registration is required. Tickets are limited and will not be available at the door. To register, go here.
