Cyrq Energy, the owner and operator of Patua and Soda Lake geothermal plants in Nevada, announced the Grand Opening of the Cyrq Patua Solar Plant, a 10 MW solar facility launching this month near Hazen. Work and commissioning on the solar plant was completed last month and the plant will officially be recognized at a ribbon cutting ceremony on August 31 at 10 a.m.
The facility is adjacent to the Patua Geothermal Plant, which makes this Hazen, Nevada area a major renewable resource for both solar and geothermal.
Gov. Sandoval is scheduled to speak at the Grand Opening, which will be attended by local vendors, local elected officials, contractors, industry officials, local supporters and invited guests. A BBQ lunch will be served following the dedication.
