Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Feb. 10. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:
Capital City Liquor, 1511 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.
Carson Plaza, 2120 E. Long St., 100 points.
Kabayan Multimart, 321 Fairview Drive, 100 points.
Max Casino, Black Bear Diner, 900 S. Carson St., 100 points.
Max Casino, snack bar, 900 S. Carson St., 99 points. The floor under the flattop grill needed to be cleaned.
Playa Azul, 415 E. William St., 100 points.
El Paisano Taqueria, 3359 E. Highway 50, 97 points. Refried beans were found at room temperature. Non-food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils weren’t clean.
McDonald’s, 3905 S. Carson St., 96 points. The dishwasher wasn’t dispensing enough sanitizer to properly kill pathogens. Cloths that were being used to clean food-contact surfaces weren’t clean. The floors as well as equipment and utensils, such as internal components of the fryers and fan covers in the walk-in refrigerators, needed to be cleaned.
McDonald’s, 2001 N. Carson St., 91 points. Water wasn’t being supplied to the employee hand wash sink, which also was missing paper towels. Bacterial growth was found in the large ice machine.
Subway, 100 W. Winnie Lane, 89 points. Entrances weren’t in good repair, repeat violation. Employees were consuming and storing their food on food preparation tables. Cloths used on food-contact surfaces weren’t clean. Sanitizer buckets weren’t set up. Plumbing wasn’t properly sized, installed or maintained. The soda machine was leaking, repeat violation. Paper towels were missing from the hand wash sink.
