The Ross Dress for Less in north Reno is moving to a new location. The national retailer will celebrate the grand opening of the store on March 4.
The North Reno Ross is relocating from its prior location at 2950 Northtowne Plaza to the shopping center across the street at 2863 Northtowne Lane.
The store will occupy 25,000 square feet next to the building that was previously home to Walmart. The shopping center is also home to Teleperformance, Winco, Party City and more.
The new Ross location will employ approximately 50 employees. According to the sign in front of the new store, they are currently hiring new employees.
As for the old location, the store closed its doors on Jan. 15. The 30,187-square-foot retail space is currently vacant and for lease. Nearby tenants include Petco, Office Depot and Del Taco.
There are 29 Ross stores in Nevada with five of those stores in the Reno-Sparks area. The opening of the north Reno store is just one of many Ross stores celebrating grand openings on March 4.
“We are opening a total of 23 Ross Dress for Less stores (including) a store in Guam,” a corporate spokesperson said in an email response. “The 23-store opening is part of the company’s growth plans to expand its presence in new and existing markets over time.
