Carson City road report for July 10-16, 2017

The following information applies to the period of July 10-16:

Road closures are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work. Detours are planned:

E. King Street from Valley to Roop streets will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

Fall Street will be closed between Robinson and Spear streets from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Lane closures or restrictions expected at the following locations due to road/utility work. Caution is recommended:

I-580 southbound will be reduced to one lane south of the Fifth Street bridge until the freeway extension opens.

The I-580 northbound on-ramp from Fairview Drive eastbound will be permanently reduced to one lane.

U.S. 50 at the U.S. 395 intersection will be reduced to one lane in each direction until further notice for freeway improvements (travel delays are expected on S. Carson Street near the U.S. 50 Spooner junction).

S. Carson Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Clear Creek and Snyder avenues from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays.

W. College Parkway will have single lane closures between Carson Street and N. Ormsby Boulevard from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Medical Parkway will have single lane closures between Carson Street and Presti Lane from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Airport Road will be reduced to one lane between Fifth Street and Butti Way from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

State Street will be reduced to one lane between Long and William streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

The Koontz Lane and Silver Sage Drive intersection will have lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Second Street will be closed between Minnesota and Thompson streets from 5 to 11 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday for the Brewery Arts Center’s summer concert series.
