Local residents earn academic honors

Kassandra Acosta of Dayton was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame.

To earn academic honors at Saint Mary’s, a student must achieve a grade-point average of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale and complete at least 12 graded credit hours with no incompletes or grades lower than a C.

Carson City’s Stephanie Gansberg made the spring honors list at Concordia University Wisconsin.

To make the list, students must achieve at least a 3.5 grade-point average. Gansberg is a senior majoring in elementary education.

Several local residents — Corey Reid of Carson City, Aryana Petrosky of Gardnerville and Joshua Buchinskiy of Minden — earned spots on the dean’s list at Azusa Pacific University. The list includes students who earn a 3.5 grade-point average or better.
