A reception for Lisa Fisher, whose work is being highlighted at Carson City Art Gallery, is planned for Aug. 4.
Photographer Lisa Fisher is Carson City Art Gallery’s featured artist of the month for August.
A Northern Nevada native, Fisher primarily photographs flowers, wildlife and landscapes.
“I want people to see themselves in the landscape of the photo,” she said.
Fisher’s work was selected as a finalist in Nevada Magazine’s annual Great Nevada Picture Hunt and has been on display in Carson City Art Gallery for a year.
“She is one of our very talented photographers,” said Robin McGregor, the gallery’s owner. “We now have 51 local artists, all within the Sierra Nevada Range.”
Carson City Art Gallery is holding a reception for Fisher on Aug. 4 from 4-7 p.m. and the photographer’s work will be featured in the gallery through Aug. 30.
The gallery is located at 110 South Curry St. and is open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
