The following information applies to the period of July 31 to Aug. 6:
Road closures expected at the following locations due to road/utility work. Detours will be in place:
Citywide lane striping removal and restriping will be conducted from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays.
Nevada Street will be closed from Bath to Meyers streets from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday. Residential access only.
Division Street will be closed from Bath Street to Winnie Lane from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. Residential access only.
Lane closures or restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work. Drivers are asked to use caution:
I-580 southbound will be reduced to one lane south of the Fifth Street Bridge until the freeway extension opens on Thursday.
The I-580 northbound on-ramp from Fairview Drive eastbound will be reduced to one lane permanently.
U.S. 50 at the U.S. 395 intersection will be reduced to one lane in each direction until the freeway extension opens for freeway improvements (travel delays are expected on S. Carson Street near the U.S. 50 Spooner junction).
U.S. 395 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Clear Creek and Snyder avenues from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. until the freeway extension opens.
Lewis Street will be reduced to a single lane between Colorado Street and Pat Lane from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.
Hamilton Avenue will be reduced to a single lane between Belmont Avenue and Hamilton Court from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.
Koontz Lane will have single lane closures between Edmunds Drive and Carson Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Koontz Lane and Silver Sage Drive intersection will have lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Roop Street will have shifted lanes between Fairview Drive and Industrial Park Drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.
The following closures are planned to accommodate community events:
The Brewery Arts Center’s summer concert series will close Second Street from Minnesota to Thompson streets from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday.
The Silver Dollar Car Classic will close the following streets:
Ninth Street between Carson and Fall streets from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday;
Plaza Street from Eighth to Fifth streets from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday;
Curry Street from Eighth to Tenth streets from 3 to 11 p.m. on Friday;
Ninth Street from Carson to Curry streets from 3 to 11 p.m. on Friday.
