Christopher Joy has been named vice president of hotel and food and beverage for Harrah’s and Harvey’s Lake Tahoe.
Joy, has worked in the hotel and casino industry since 1995, first started with the Silver Legacy Resort & Casino. He then help open the Aladdin on the Las Vegas Strip (now part of the Caesars family of properties and known as the Planet Hollywood) as the assistant director of front office operations and later Wynn Las Vegas as front office manager. He returned to northern Nevada working for the Peppermill Hotel Casino.
He went to New Orleans working for the Windsor Court Hotel initially as the director of rooms, and then was promoted to director of operations and as director of hotel operations at Harrah’s New Orleans.
In 2012, he returned to Las Vegas as vice president of hospitality/hotel for corporate operations. In 2013, he joined the Palms, where he was promoted to assistant general manager and vice president of hotel operations in 2014, and remained in that role until the Palms sold to Station Casinos in late 2016.
