Devon Shaffer is the bus driver at Sierra Place Senior Living who takes the residents to and from their various appointments around town. He is always helpful and courteous, but the other day he went above and beyond.
As we were leaving the DaVita parking lot, he jammed on the brakes and got off the bus saying, “I’ve got to do something!”
He saw where a gentleman had fallen after putting his wife in their car (she was a DaVita patient) and couldn’t get up.
Devon helped him up and to the car, then returned to the bus. I just think he deserves an “atta boy” for being compassionate and doing the right thing.
Since we so often hear of the bad things people do, I’m glad to know that Devon is one of the good guys. Thank you.
