The Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce recently initiated its “WORK READY Program,” designed to connect members seeking to fill in-demand positions with individuals who have completed training and education offered by several local, non-profit training organizations. Members will use their unique access code to provide job descriptions and participating agencies will be provided a unique log-in to view these opportunities. Participating agencies include: The Community Services Agency, J.O.I.N, Communities in Schools, Work for Warriors, The City of Reno Housing Authority, and The Northern Nevada Literacy Council. This initiative by the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce has been developed in response to the consistent need of its members for “work ready” candidates who have the determination and commitment to succeed in the workforce. Candidates referred to Chamber of Commerce members will have completed a minimum of high school graduation and meet the employer’s specific skills and qualifications.
