Carson City area senior lunch menus for March 6-10, 2017

Note: Menus for week of March 6 subject to change without notice. Choice of beverage included.

Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Dr.:

MONDAY: Asian chicken salad, Jell-O with Mandarin oranges, pineapple and fortune cookies.

TUESDAY: Biscuits and gravy, sausage, blueberry muffins, V8 and watermelon.

WEDNESDAY: Hot turkey sandwiches, peas and carrots, tomatoes vinaigrette, fresh orange sections and oatmeal raisin cookies.

THURSDAY: Lemon baked fish, parsley buttered potatoes, zucchini, Waldorf salad, whole wheat rolls, apple butter and cantaloupe.

FRIDAY: Chicken noodle soup, house salad, French bread, fresh fruit and apple juice.

Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

MONDAY: Black bean soup, chicken salad sandwiches, cucumbers in sour cream and tropical fruit cups.

TUESDAY: Honey mustard chicken, scalloped potatoes, carrots, peas, whole wheat rolls, margarine, apricots and cookies.

WEDNESDAY: Chile relleno bake, refried beans, garden salad, dressing and mixed fruit.

THURSDAY: Sloppy Joes on whole wheat buns, zucchini, Tater Tots, pears and Jell-O.

FRIDAY: Sweet and sour chicken, steamed brown rice, peas and carrots, spinach, Catalina dressing, whole wheat bread, low-sodium margarine and oatmeal date bars.

Douglas County Senior Center, 1329 Waterloo Lane:

MONDAY: Fried rice with almonds, chicken egg rolls, orange and spinach salad and cranberry-apple dessert.

TUESDAY: Beef pot roast with potatoes, carrots, celery, onion and beef gravy, French bread, green salad with blue cheese dressing and peach pie with ice cream.

WEDNESDAY: Pork loin, mashed potatoes and gravy, lettuce, salad with Swiss cheese and bacon, German vegetables, cake and ice cream.

THURSDAY: Stuffed cheese shells with marinara sauce, garlic bread, carrot and raisin salad, Italian roasted mushrooms, veggies and chocolate brownies.

FRIDAY: Minestrone soup, cottage cheese, fresh fruit, chicken tenders and whole wheat crackers.

Silver Springs Senior Center, 2945 Ft. Churchill Road:

MONDAY: Minestrone soup, cottage cheese, fruit and low-sodium whole wheat crackers.

TUESDAY: Taco casserole, Spanish rice, seasoned zucchini, pumpkin bread, bananas and apricot-pineapple punch.

WEDNESDAY: Breaded fish squares, tartar sauce, rice pilaf, coleslaw, whole wheat bread, pears and cookies.

THURSDAY: Lasagna, garlic bread sticks, cauliflower, pineapple and cake.

FRIDAY: French toast, margarine, syrup, bacon, eggs, honeydew, orange juice and V8.

Storey County Senior Citizens Center, corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

MONDAY: Beef enchiladas, Spanish rice, refried beans and fruit cocktail.

TUESDAY: Lemon baked fish, macaroni and cheese, green beans, salad and fruit.

WEDNESDAY: Orange rosemary pork chops, au gratin potatoes, carrots and fruit.

THURSDAY: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and fruit.

FRIDAY BREAKFAST 10-11: Sicilian chicken soup, grilled cheese sandwiches and fruit.

Yerington Senior Center, 117 Tilson Way:

MONDAY: Chicken enchiladas, Spanish rice, beans and tapioca.

TUESDAY: Sweet and sour pork, fried rice, egg rolls and cherry strudel.

WEDNESDAY: Chili burgers, potato salad, carrot and celery sticks and ice cream.

THURSDAY: Herb crusted pork chops, baked yams, green beans, pear halves in juice and whole wheat dinner rolls.

FRIDAY DINNER 5 p.m.: Tuna casserole, vegetable medley, sliced tomatoes, whole wheat bread and oatmeal date bars.
