Nevada Consumer Affairs is hosting a Consumer Fraud Prevention Fair to provide resources and information to keep residents safe from fraud.
The free event will be held in Carson City Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Studio at Adams Hub, located at 111 W. Proctor.
The resource fair will include organizations such as AARP, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, Home Again, Senior Medicare Patrol, Washoe Legal Services and Division of Insurance. There will also be a fraud prevention panel discussion at 11 a.m.
Organizers want to provide information for consumer rights, how to avoid becoming a victim of fraud and one-on-one assistance for consumers who need help resolving complaints involving fraud of a deceptive business practice.
