The Historic Resources Commission has an opening for a position with a term that expires February 2021.
Applicants must be Carson City residents and qualify in any of the following categories: a professional qualified architect or design professional with experience in historic preservation; a professional qualified in building construction; a professional in the field of historic preservation; or a professional in the discipline of archaeology, anthropology, history or related professions.
The commission reviews and makes decisions regarding projects in the Carson City historic district and/or recommendations to the Planning Commission and/or Board of Supervisors regarding matters relating to the city’s historic resources.
The supervisors will interview applicants at its May 4 meeting. Members serve without compensation. The city’s Boards, Committees, and Commissions Policy and Procedures can be viewed online at www.carson.org/volunteer.
Applications may be obtained from and returned to the Carson City Executive Offices, 201 N. Carson St., Suite 2, and are public documents once submitted.
The deadline for applications is April 21.
