A Fresno man apparently fell to his death early Monday morning off the Harvey’s Casino parking structure at Stateline.

David Garcia, 29, was last seen alive leaving the casino floor at 2:20 a.m.

At 3 a.m., Douglas County dispatchers were notified that a man with a traumatic injury was found next to the parking lot.

Garcia was dead when deputies and medics arrived at the scene.

“It appears that Garcia had fallen from the upper levels of the parking structure of Harvey’s Casino,” said Douglas County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Sgt. Bernadette Smith. “Witnesses told deputies that Garcia had been drinking alcohol during the evening, and had left a casino on foot at 2:20 a.m. The fall appears to have been accidental.”
