Cultural Commission has opening

The Cultural Commission has an opening.

The commission advises the Board of Supervisors on matters related to the cultural life of the community.

The open position is for a citizen-at-large and its term expires January 2018.

Applicants must be a Carson City registered voter.

Members serve without compensation and meet quarterly on the third Tuesday of March, June, September and December. Meetings last two to three hours and members should be prepared for a minimum commitment of up to 10 hours a month.

Applications are available at the Carson City Executive Offices, 201 N. Carson St., Suite 2. Once submitted, applications are public documents.

Applications are due by April 21. The Board of Supervisors will interview applicants and appoint the new member at its May 4 meeting.
