Carson City has openings on several boards.

The Library Board of Trustees has two openings for terms that end June 2021.

The five-member board oversees policy for the Carson City Library and meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

The Carson City Visitors Bureau has one open position for a term expiring July 2019 for a member from the Hotel/Motel Industry category.

This board oversees Carson City tourism. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month at 4 p.m.

Both boards require members to be willing to serve six to eight hours a month and both meet in the Sierra Room at the Carson City Community Center.

The Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife is seeking one member whose term will expire July 2020.

The board advises the Nevada Division of Wildlife Commission on matters pertaining to wildlife and fish.

The board meets before those meetings of the commission at which seasons, bag limits or hours are to be established and at the call of the chairman or commission request. Meeting locations vary.

Applicants for all the boards will be interviewed by the Carson City Board of Supervisors.

Applications are due by June 5 for the Library Board of Trustees, June 26 for the Visitors Bureau, and July 10 for the Wildlife board. All applications are public once they’re submitted.

Applications can be found online at carson.org/government/boards-committees-and-commissions.
