Will it happen here? Fans of Chick-fil-A often camp out and line up when a new restaurant opens, such as in this unidentified town. Chick-fil-A helps them pass the time with contests and activities.
Chick-fil-A will officially arrive in Reno with the May 25 opening of its first stand-alone restaurant at 6365 S. McCarran Blvd., bringing 130 new jobs and the chance for 100 eligible adults to win free Chick-fil-A for a year.
Chick-fil-A's most passionate customers often arrive more than 24 hours in advance, packing tents, lawn chairs, computers, TVs, couches and all kinds of gear to make their wait more comfortable and entertaining. Chick-fil-A provides security, entertainment, games and, of course, plenty of fresh Chick-fil-A.
At the Reno opening, the campers will have the opportunity to package 10,000 meals for the hungry during the First 100 event on Wednesday.
The line for the promotion opens at 6 a.m., Wednesday, May 24. If there are more than 100 people in line at that time, a raffle will be held to determine the 100 who will stay on site for the next 24 hours. If there are less than 100 people, restaurant representatives will continue to register participants until 100 is reached.
The community promotion is open to people living in specific zip codes surrounding the restaurant. Please see http://www.chick-fil-a.com/Locations/First-100 for details. Prizes will be awarded shortly before 6 a.m. on Thursday, May 25.
