Ryder Homes will commence construction of The Pointe at Somersett, a 64-home development in northwest Reno, on Friday, May 26 at 11 a.m. One of the last new developments in the master planned community of Somersett, The Pointe is perched high on a ridge with views of the surrounding mountains. The development features unique exterior schemes and some of the most progressive design plans in northern Nevada.
“The Pointe will be a beautiful neighborhood that will complement the Somersett community with modern and contemporary designs,” Said Steve Thomsen, Nevada General Manager. ”We pride ourselves on using the most innovative designs and customizing each community specifically for the surrounding area.”
The Pointe at Somersett will feature three homes designs including Modern Farmhouse, Contemporary Desert and Progressive Prairie. There will be three different floor plans ranging in size from a single story, 2,386-square-foot house to a two story, 3,057-square-foot house. With property lots ranging in size from 9,000 to 14,000 square feet, the spacious floor plans include three-car garages, interior courtyards and casitas for the larger homes.
“The design of these is a departure from what most homebuyers have begun to expect from homebuilders, and we’re very excited to bring these new homes to market,” added Thomsen. “We want The Pointe at Somersett to be special.”
Ryder Homes’ leadership team, local dignitaries and representatives from the real estate community will gather for a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, May 26 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Huntley Trail Road off the Back Nine Trail Road and E. Del Webb Parkway.
Homes will be on sale starting August 2017, with construction to be completed by January 2018.
