Early registration available for Nevada Economic Development Conference

LAS VEGAS – The third-annual Nevada Economic Development Conference will bring professionals from across the state to explore and share ideas in Las Vegas on Sept. 12-13 at The University of Nevada Las Vegas. Presented by The University of Nevada Las Vegas – Center for Business & Economic Research, University of Nevada at Reno – College of Business, and Western Nevada Development District, the event includes attendees from economic developers to elected and appointed officials, business owners, utilities, banks, educators, manufacturers, mining industry professionals, transportation representatives, agribusiness, and all of those interested in connecting with Nevada’s economic development network. “This conference brings together some of the best minds in industry and government in order to share best practices for diversifying our state economy,” says Barbra Coffee, Director of Economic Development & Tourism for the City of Henderson. “We look forward to great ideas and information to benefit all businesses in Nevada." Scheduled to be held at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Student Union, the conference will offer a forum for a broad section of professionals to explore and share ideas, programs, services and products that will help shape and strengthen Nevada’s changing economy. The opening sessions, off-site tours, breakout sessions, and keynote speakers are part of this multi-track conference focused on the state and strength in a global landscape, aiming to build capacity, increase efficiency, and promote innovation to proactively respond to Nevada’s rapidly changing economic environment. A pre-conference workshop presented by University of Nevada, Reno on Sept. 11 will focus Fundamentals of Economic Development 3.0 Nevada Leadership Program. Early bird tickets, priced at $150 before July 12 for the two-day event, are available online through the Western Nevada Development District, and include lunch. Tickets are priced at $175 after July 12. A one day pass is also available for $100. Guests are encouraged to submit for the Awards and Accolades Marketing Awards program, recognizing the “best of the best” marketing materials and tools used to attract, retain and expand business, promoting economic development.
