My husband, Chuck Matton, and I went to Pioneer Crossing in Dayton to have dinner. The food there is so good and the atmosphere is always very pleasant.
After dinner, we decided to play a few slot machines. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we ended up playing for a few hours and then we left to go home. We were tired and soon went to bed.
The next day we did our normal stuff: fed and played with our three big dogs, Chuck worked outside in his vineyard and I, unfortunately, “played” by pulling weeds!
A couple of days later, when I went to put on one of my favorite necklaces (which I wore at Pioneer Crossing), I could not find it any place.
I immediately called Pioneer Crossing and talked with a very nice lady. She said she thought she saw it in one of the drawers they keep for such items.
Lo and behold, there was my Star of David. I was so very happy and actually shed a few tears as I’ve had that piece for many, many years.
The necklace wasn’t with the star, but that didn’t matter to me. It was getting back my real treasure, which meant so very much.
I wish I could thank the person who found it. But the best I can do is say: Whoever you are, I wish I could give you a big, big thank you in person.
So here it is: Thank you so very, very much for taking the time to hand my star to the right person at the casino so it could hopefully and eventually be returned to me. I really, really appreciate it.
