“Wonder” is a wonder! “Wonder” is a film worthy of your time and the theater’s admission price.

“Wonder” is the story of a young boy, August Pullman, whose life has been a struggle since birth. He suffers through numerous surgeries and he’s left with a face which is disfigured. As a result, his self-esteem suffers, too, and young Auggie finds himself seeking solace under a space helmet or behind a Halloween mask.

August is home schooled during his formative years and finally enters public school as a fifth grader. The cruel treatment he receives from some students is heartbreaking, and yet, at other times August is the recipient of love, kindness and encouragement.

Here’s a wonderful story that demonstrates what a difference can be made in a life by loving parents and good friends.

In this story, the power of love prevails. Kindness makes a difference and an entire school is transformed.

See the movie. This is a story that will make God smile, for God is love and we love because he first loved us.

“What the world needs now is love, sweet love,” declares a popular song of the past. It was true then and it’s true now. God understands the world’s great need. He “so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

And we should love one another as Christ has loved us! Our world could certainly use a good dose of love and kindness today.

By the way, God thinks you’re a wonder, too.
