The Popcorn Stand: Nitro is dynamite

Now this is awesome.

I don’t think I could get Pete the Shih Tzu or Tuf Tuf (you know Sir Tuffington something or other) the Jack Russell to do pushups, but maybe I’ll show them this video as motivation. Or maybe I’ll just keep watching this video to motivate me to exercise more. Or at all.

The video is only 7 seconds long, but I can keep watching it over and over again. Nitro is a 2-year-old Dutch shepherd and a police dog for the Gulf Shores, Ala., police department. He’s now featured in that 7-second video doing pushups with two other police officers and he’s adorable.

And “Eye of the Tiger” is playing in the background which really motivates me ... motivates me to do a pushup or two.

The video is actually part of a social media trend — #9PMRoutine. The video shows the officers and Nitro in their 9 p.m. exercise routine to remind people to get into the routine of removing valuables from their cars and to lock up at the end of the day. And the video if not intentionally also encourages people to have an exercise routine.

It’s also cool the dog’s name is Nitro. Even though “Eye of the Tiger” is a great motivational song, I think it would be cool if Nitro was shown doing pushups with AC/DC’s “TNT” blaring in the background.

Nitro truly is dynamite.
