Hiring events slated for coming weeks

Several area hiring events are scheduled in Reno-Sparks, some for seasonal positions as the upcoming holiday season nears.

The hiring events include:

-Monday: SMX will hold a hiring event at the Sparks JobConnect office, 2281 Pyramid Way, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., for warehouse associate positions at its facility in McCarran, east of Sparks. Salary range is $13-$14.70 per hour.

-Tuesday: JCPenney will hold a hiring event at the Sparks JobConnect office from 9 a.m.-noon for associate positions at its distribution center in Stead. Salary range is $12.39-$13 per hour with benefits.

-Tuesday: OnTrac will hold an event from 1-4:30 p.m. For package hander and maintenance positions. Salary range is $13.50 to $14.42 per hour.

-Wednesday-Thursday: Amazon will hold events Wednesday at Reno JobConnect, 4001 S. Virginia St., and Thursday at Sparks JobConnect, both from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., for full-time seasonal positions at its Fernley distribution center.

-Oct. 25: OnTrac will hold an event from 1-4:30 p.m. For package hander and maintenance positions. Salary range is $13.50 to $14.42 per hour.
