Heather Gallagher, Virginia Bowman, and Kati Dayner have been appointed to positions on the Reno Philharmonic.
Gallagher, a violinist with the Reno Phil for more than 10 years, was named director of education and community engagement.
She has been with the Reno Phil for five years leading the Youth Symphony Orchestra program. Gallagher has participated in old-time fiddle competitions and performed in casino showrooms at more than a hundred weddings and on the classical stage. She has been a violinist with the Reno Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
She earned a bachelor of music degree in violin performance and a master’s in music therapy.
Bowman was named youth orchestra manager.
She has worked as a musician, administrator, educator and entrepreneur, and has performed with the Reno Phil since 2009 and with several other orchestras, including Lubbock Symphony, Roswell Symphony and Abilene Symphony Orchestras.
Bowman has earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in violin performance.
Dayner was named orchestra librarian.
She has been part of the Reno orchestral community for nearly 15 years as a violist with the Reno Phil and the Reno Chamber Orchestra.
Dayner completed her bachelor’s degree in music at Northwestern University and continued her music studies at University of Nevada, Reno.

New board members also include John Drakulich, founder of Drakulich Insurance Agency; Alice Mull, Wells Fargo, LLC; and Megan Noin, founder of MNG Marketing, PR and Advertising.
