Three global tech startups have been selected to participate in the inaugural six-week bootcamp, InNEVator 2017, starting next Monday in Reno.
ThinkBioSolutions from Dublin, Ireland which is building a wearable device for athletic training and telemedicine applications, DwellSensor from Cleveland, which is designing tools to better serve retail stores, and Oxysensors, a Reno-based company designing sensors for oxygen tanks were selected. More than 20 international companies applied to participate in the program.
InNEVator 2017, slated to begin Monday, Oct. 2 is aimed to work with companies on the Internet of Things (IoT) space or networks to interconnect building devices.
“You don’t get the opportunity to work with leaders in the space like this every day,” said DwellSensor Co-Founder Mark Lorkowski in a release. “Simply being selected to participate in this program brings more viability to our platform and reaffirms our suspicion that we’re onto something really interesting.”
The University of Nevada, Reno and its Innevation partnered with tech startups Breadware and Watershed Growth Ventures to host the program. Participating sponsors are Kathie Priebe, Sierra Angels, Group Gets, Switch, Server Tech and Snell & Wilmer LLP. Additional support is provided by Brew Brothers.
The InNEVator ends with an awards dinner Nov. 9 wherein each company will have the opportunity to present their product to investors. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
