Talk of the Town celebrates 100 poems

Yes, I’ve been thinking

I’ve had a little time

This is my 100th poem

About Carson City, our home

The one that’s yours and mine

It’s been a wonderful experience

I’ve gotten to meet you all

I’ve walked and talked

Laughed and hugged

I’ve tried to answer every call

Wanting to know more about you

You are special, that’s for sure

Bringing your exclusive goods and services

Into our Carson City world

I began at the Governor’s Mansion

With the Women’s Historical “Pink Tea”

From there it was “Glen Eagles,” “Paradise Salon,”

“Carson Coffee” and on to “Evergreen Genes”

I was off and running

“Gordon’s Photography,” “Attitude’s Salon,” “Greenhouse Garden Center”

I began to get around

Nevada Day was upon us with “The Spirit of Halloween”

Then “The Chamber of Commerce” followed by Christmas and “The Living Nativity”

From there to a New Year, with “Eagle Vision” to help you see

“Music Lessons Unlimited,” “Alberto’s Boot and Shoe Repair” and “Ogres-Holm Pottery”

There is one special business, “Fast Frame,”

They have supported me

They have matted all my poems

So I could give them to you free

You know where this is going

I can’t possibly list you all

But, thank you, thank you, thank you

I have had a ball.

Please help me continue

If I haven’t seen you yet

Just email me with your business

I’ll give you a poem, you can bet
