Barbara A. Higgins and Jeanne L. Mockard have been appointed to the Board of Directors of Employers Holdings, Inc., a holding company headquartered in Reno.

Higgins is chief customer officer for Duke Energy Corporation, headquartered in Charlotte, N.C.

Mockard is owner of JLM Capital and Consulting, headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla.
