LAS VEGAS — Gov. Steve Sisolak has appointed Sandra Douglass Morgan as the new chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Sisolak announced the appointment Wednesday. Morgan has served since April 2018 as a member of the Nevada Gaming Commission.

She replaces Becky Harris, the board’s current chair whose term expires on Jan. 27. Harris was the first woman to chair the board.

Sisolak said in a prepared statement that Morgan will be an asset to the board.

She’s a Las Vegas native who serves as the director of external affairs for AT&T Services, Inc., in Southern Nevada.

Morgan is also a former North Las Vegas city attorney.
