PBS Reno last month announced the promotion of Emma Glenn to Development Officer.
In her role, Glenn will continue to generate funding for the nonprofit TV station by serving as the primary grant writer and taking a lead role in overall fundraising and expansion of resources, according to a March 15 press release.
Among other duties, Glenn also manages PBS Reno’s annual fundraiser, the Spotlight Awards and Auction, guiding a cross-functional team to share powerful and inspirational stories from the community.
“I am excited to move into this new role as Development Officer here at PBS Reno,” Glenn said in a statement. “It is a privilege to work alongside so many talented and creative professionals. I look forward to continuing my work in development supporting PBS Reno’s mission and appreciate the opportunity to do so in a larger capacity.”
Glenn joined PBS Reno as Grant Coordinator in 2018. Her background in fundraising spans 11 years, having worked in the education sector and with the Nevada Cancer Coalition. In 2010, she graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she majored in Fine Arts and Literature.
“Emma has earned this promotion through her excellent work with the station,” stated Peter Stanton, PBS Reno Vice President of Development. “She facilitated more than $1 million per year in grants for several years, helping to grow the station’s education programs and local productions significantly. We are delighted to have her as the station’s primary grant writer and taking a leadership role in station events.”
