United Federal Credit Union on July 26 announced the appointment of George Gerold as Mortgage Advisor at its Summit Branch at 13989 S. Virginia St. in Reno.
“Gerold will provide quality real estate lending expertise through financial counseling and product awareness to credit union members regarding their real estate financing needs and generate investment quality mortgage loans,” according to a July 26 press release.
Gerold brings more than 36 years of mortgage and financial experience to the role. Most recently, he was branch manager for Celebrity Home Loans, LLC in Reno.
Additionally, Gerold will work with the credit union’s community partners in Northern Nevada, including United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra and the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.
On July 27, United named Kristine Cambunga to the position of Branch Manager at its South McCarran branch in Reno at 4855 Kietzke Lane.
In the role, Cambunga will be responsible for maintaining the performance of the branch and providing leadership and supervision to staff, according to a July 28 press release.
Cambunga brings seven years of banking and financial experience to the role. Previously, she worked as service manager for Wells Fargo in Reno.
She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Reno and has an associate of liberal arts degree in criminal justice from Truckee Meadows Community College.
Cambunga will also work with the United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra, Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and Girls on the Run Sierras.
