The Nevada Donor Network announced this month that Nevada Mining Association President Tyre Gray, Esq., has joined the nonprofit’s governing board of directors.
In his role on the board, Gray will support Nevada Donor Network mission to lead the advancement of healthcare in Nevada and promote its “longstanding goal of creating a full-scale transplant institute to expand the state’s current transplant capabilities and ultimately save more lives through the gift of organ, eye and tissue donation,” according to a Aug. 2 press release.
“In his mid-20s, Gray discovered he was living with chronic kidney disease and was placed on the transplant waiting list,” per the release. “Years later, when his health began to fail, Gray persevered and decided to pursue a law degree. In 2012, Gray received his gift of life, a kidney transplant, which allowed him to go on to graduate at the top of his class, pass three bar exams (CA, AZ, NV) in 368 days and join a large regional law firm.”
Gray holds a law degree from the UNLV Boyd School of Law. A San Diego native, Gray lives in Henderson with his wife, Ashanti, son, Adonis, and daughter, Reign.
