The Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum recently welcomed community members Rebecca Reyes and Jay Karpen to the board of directors.
Reyes works at Northern Nevada HOPES, a nonprofit health center that works to provide affordable and high-quality medical, behavioral health, and support services for the Northern Nevada community.
She joins The Discovery board after being a part of the community connections committee previously, according to an Aug. 10 press release.
Karpen is an assistant vice president with Whittier Trust Company of Nevada, where he supports the senior portfolio managers with constructing and managing client portfolios across equities, fixed income, and alternative assets. He will serve on The Discovery’s finance committee.
