Capital Insurance Group announced recently that Tammy Ebnet, Assistant Vice President - Human Resources, has been selected as an honoree in Ragan’s 2021 Top Women in Wellness and HR Awards.
Based in Reno, Ebnet joins an elite group of HR executives from around the U.S. who are being recognized for their achievements in this space.
In all, the Class of 2021 recognized 53 women for their ongoing work and accomplishments, as well as three Rising Stars. Four women also were named as Hall of Fame honorees in Ragan’s Top Women in Wellness and HR Awards.
According to a Nov. 19 press release, Ebnet assumed the Head of Human Resources role at CIG in 2018. She was promoted this summer to the AVP role. Among her most significant accomplishments was the implementation of a comprehensive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program, according to the CIG.
Despite the pandemic, Ebnet’s employee-first focus heavily contributed to CIG being named a 2021 Great Place to Work, an award determined by anonymous employee surveys and doled out by Great Place to Work US, global authority on workplace culture.
“2020 saw Tammy Ebnet be the HR leader CIG needs and strengthened our core belief in the high-quality company we all work for,” Andy Doll, President and CEO of CIG, said in a statement. “Progress has not stopped, and neither has Tammy’s dedication. We are a healthier organization because of her leadership.”
According to its website, CIG has more than 400 employees distributed across seven offices throughout the west.
