City National Bank this month announced its philanthropic performance in Nevada for 2020 — the bank contributed monetary and in-kind support of nearly $370,000 to 75 nonprofits, schools and community organizations throughout the Silver State.
The dollar amount represented a 56.8 percent year-over-year increase from 2019, according to a Feb. 2 press release.
While bank colleagues were not able to provide the same level of in-person volunteer outreach in 2020 due to COVID-19, they were still able to donate more than 450 hours of volunteer service.
“Our community involvement and support of qualified nonprofit organizations and programs continue to grow through our monetary, in-kind and volunteer support,” Paul Stowell, Nevada regional executive of City National Bank, said in a statement. “What we did this past year, along with what we are continuing to do this year from a philanthropic standpoint, is perhaps some of the most important work we’ve ever done in our 67-year history.”
