The Nevada Chapter AGC (Associated General Contractors) on May 21 held its 22nd annual PINNACLE Awards luncheon.

The PINNACLE Awards program — PINNACLE stands for “Projects In Northern Nevada Achieving Construction Leadership Excellence” — was established in 1999 to honor Northern Nevada construction projects from the previous year, recognizing construction leadership, excellence and community spirit, according to AGC.

Independent judges, this year from the Utah AGC Chapter, measured this year’s entries “based on safety, craftsmanship, challenges met, client relations, innovation and innovative building practices,” according to a press release.

“General Engineering Contractors” and “Building Contractors” projects vie separately for the PINNACLE Award in two divisions: under and over $10 million. “Specialty Contractors” compete in the over and under $1 million divisions, among other criteria.

There were 24 nominees from 11 different companies. Winners of the 2020 PINNACLE Awards were announced at the May 21 luncheon, which was emceed by Nevada Congressman Mark Amodei.
