Cyclone Transport LLC recently purchased its company headquarters building at 21 Salvadore Drive in Fernley.

According to a Feb. 26 press release, the Nevada State Development Corporation assisted with financing for the $800,000 acquisition in conjunction with Heritage Bank of Nevada.

“Owning the building outright is a huge, positive step in the right direction for the business,” Dale Edelstein, who owns the business 50-50 with his son, Donovan Edelstein, said in a statement. “It gives us the business freedom to improve the property further as the company grows while improving the overall efficiency of the operation. We couldn’t be more pleased.”

Cyclone Transport, which launched eight years ago, is primarily engaged in hauling to manufacturing facilities, highway construction projects, ready mix plants and gold mines. Its fleet includes pneumatic containers, flatbeds, bottom dumps, end dumps and lowbeds and a wide array of other vehicles.

The company’s key customers include Q&D Construction, Sierra Nevada Construction, Nevada Cement Company and other prominent construction firms.

“Seizing the opportunity to own their headquarters is one of the best moves any small business can make, and that certainly applies to the Edelsteins and Cyclone Transport,” Sandy Gordon, vice president/business development officer with NSDC, said in a statement. “For example, purchasing the building will afford the business a fixed operating cost and an estimated rent savings of approximately $62,000 annually compared to their 2019 rent expenses. Consider all the advantages of using that money to build equity rather than merely paying rent.”
