After relaunching in November of 2020, under the national Brewers Association, the Nevada Craft Brewers Association this month announced its 2021 Executive Board, made up of craft beer industry experts from across the Silver State. Wyndee Forrest of Las Vegas’ CraftHaus Brewery will serve as 2021 board president. According to a March 16 press release, Forrest was essential in changing brewpub licensing for the city of Henderson, making the law more independently owned friendly. Further, in 2019 she amended licensing to benefit tasting rooms for the city of Las Vegas, and she has represented Nevada craft brewers on the federal level with lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C., among other efforts. Other board members for 2021 are as follows:
Vice President: Tom Young of Great Basin Brewing Company in Sparks Head of Legislation and Industry Development: Linda Lovelady of Lovelady Brewing Company in Henderson Head of Marketing: Paul Young of Shoe Tree Brewing Company in Carson City Head of Membership, Sales & Events: Christina Ellis of Ellis Island Hotel, Casino and Brewery in Las Vegas Treasurer: Rob Snyder of Big Dog’s Brewing Company in Las Vegas
The NCBA’s mission is to “unite the Nevada beer industry by promoting and supporting breweries, taphouses and brewpubs through creating an open line of communication, advocating for more modern beer laws and giving back to the community," according to its website.
