NNBW: Tell us about your business and some of the most important services you provide?
G8 Strategies is an investor relations, marketing and communications firm specializing in strategic engagement. Our clients are both publicly traded and privately held companies and we specialize in the mining, industrial, manufacturing and healthcare sectors. We are commonly referred to as a B2B provider. Where we excel is in creating marketing strategies to help companies move the needle — that is, grow their business. We create a synergy between traditional marketing and public relations tactics and the digital tactics to obtain real results for our clients. NNBW: What are some of the key things your business does to ensure premium levels of customer service?
We work with global companies in just a few sectors and our key contact is usually a senior executive or the CEO, so our correspondence is direct, to the point and always ties to the Scope of Work. Because we are a small agency, Ira oversees all of the accounts and is the direct contact for our clients. We strive on delivering results-oriented marketing and communications strategies that exceeds expectations and moves the needle. “Ira Gostin and his team provided awesome support for our rebranding campaign,” said Carina A. Ira first moved here nearly 30 years ago to work for the Associated Press and through his transition into corporate work has been a part of the Northern Nevada landscape ever since. “I can’t imagine living anywhere else in the world,” said Ira. “And while I am looking forward to getting back on airplanes later this year, Northern Nevada is always home-base.” NNBW: As a local business owner, why do you feel it’s important to give back to the community? “We are a part of the community, and in order for it to thrive, we need to participate in it,” said Ira. “Erin (Ira’s wife Erin is a Registered Nurse at Saint Mary’s Health Network) and I support Eddy House, the Children’s Cabinet, Education Alliance, the Humane Society and the Discovery Museum. Erin mentors new nurses and I mentor entrepreneurs so we keep a good hand in our community.”
