IMEG Corp. has acquired MSA Engineering Consultants, a Las Vegas-based MEP engineering firm that has a Reno location.

The May 1 deal is the second acquisition of 2021 for IMEG, a national full-service engineering firm with more than 50 U.S. locations, according to a May 4 press release. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 1978, MSA Engineering Consultants has offered mechanical, electrical, plumbing and technology engineering services in Las Vegas, Reno, Phoenix and the surrounding areas. The company’s Reno location is at 4599 Longley Lane.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome MSA into our company; they are an exceptionally strong engineering firm in the Las Vegas area," IMEG President/CEO Paul VanDuyne said in a statement. “By blending our engineering capabilities, with David Melroy’s leadership we are creating a strong synergy for growth in the entertainment, gaming, and hospitality market sectors within the region – including expanding design services with the recent acquisition of Las Vegas-based structural firm Mendenhall Smith.”

“We are excited to move into this next chapter and expand our breadth of services and reach,” MSA President and Principal David Melroy said in a statement. “This merger brings together decades of experience, enhances our passion for delivering quality work, and allows us to continue developing strong client relationships across the southwest region and beyond.”

According to the release, Melroy will continue as Vice President of Gaming & Entertainment with IMEG. The firm will continue to operate out of its existing Las Vegas, Reno and Phoenix offices, doing business as MSA, now IMEG.
