PBS Reno Vice President of Technology Eli Cavazos has been inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
A person is eligible for induction after serving 20 years in the broadcasting industry, with five of those years taking place in Nevada.
Cavazos joined PBS Reno in 2018 as an engineer. He has television and radio broadcast experience in several large markets, including Fresno, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, San Jose, San Francisco, and Vallejo. His career spans more than 25 years.
“It’s an honor to be inducted in the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame,” Cavazos said in a statement. “The journey had a few interesting twists and turns along the way. I have worked hard, kept focus, and gained knowledge. I have made many friends and acquaintances, making the journey well worth it.”
Cavazos and 47 other broadcast professionals were officially welcomed into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame during the 25th Annual Gala on Oct. 30 in Las Vegas.
“We are proud of so many of our team members who have joined the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame,” Kurt Mische, PBS Reno President and CEO, said in a statement. “Eli’s tenure and experience make him deserving of this recognition.”
