Sparks-based Omega Landscape Solutions, LLC won three awards at the Nevada Landscape Association Trophy Awards Banquet, held Nov. 5 at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The landscape company won two awards in landscape construction and one for commercial maintenance for work done on the Reno Public Market (RPM) redevelopment project at the former Shopper’s Square, according to a Nov. 15 press release. “The work the Omega team has brought over to RPM is truly next-level,” Doug Wiele, president and founding partner of Foothill Partners, developers of the project. “I’m so grateful for their vision and the thoughtful artistry they brought to the greenery of Reno’s next big community gathering space.” Omega won the following awards from the Nevada Landscape Association:
1st Place in Large Commercial or Public Installation for Reno Public Market Phase 1.
1st Place in Small Commercial or Public Installation for Reno Public Market Phase 2.
1st Place in Small Commercial or Public Maintenance for Reno Public Market.
Omega conducted landscaping projects, beginning with Phase 1 around the Cold Stone Creamery and Port of Subs building in April 2020, according to the press release. The company then moved to Phase 2 with landscaping around the building and parking lots outside CVS. Both projects involved soilwork, stonework and planting greenery and flowers; in all Omega planted over 100 trees across the property. “We at Omega Landscape Solutions are deeply honored to receive three first place awards and the Nevada landscape Association Annual Awards Banquet,” Rick Clark, owner & licensed contractor for Omega Landscape Solutions, said in a statement. “Working with Reno Public Market has been a once in a lifetime experience. Their drive to make a difference in the community is second-to-none. They empowered us to reach a level of excellence in our product unlike any client I have ever had in my career.” Reno Public Market is set to fully open in summer 2022, according to the release.
